
This year’s Road to Roo competition, different from the similar “Road to Bonnaroo” competition of years past, finished its Nashville semi-finals phase at The Basement East last night. Daphne & the Mystery Machines and The Cold Stares brought their A-games, but, after the dust settled, Jess Nolan and Roots of a Rebellion have advanced to the Nashville finals, set take place at 3rd & Lindsley on March 31, where they will join the other two local finalists Kid Freud and OJR.
For this showcase, there will be one Nashville city-wide winner named, who will then will face off with other Tennessee regional winners in the state finals at Mercy Lounge on April 4, where, finally, one winner will earn a spot at ‘Roo.
