The two most exciting names in Nashville hip hop today are Chancellor Warhol and Jung Youth. We’ve raved about both artists endlessly, and recently teased a new single from Chance called “King Solomon,” ahead of his free album, Until the Light Takes Me, set to drop this spring. Similarly, we’ve brought you endless bangers from rising star Jung Youth, who most recently dropped a touching tribute to his late grandmother, “The Ghost Said.”
These two musicians are powerhouses in their own right, but what about together? Well, friends, today’s the day you find out, as we’re beyond excited to premiere a new track from Chancellor Warhol, produced by Super Duper (who’s worked extensively with both artists, and had his hand in Warhol’s upcoming album and Jung Youth’s upcoming EP) and featuring Jung Youth called “Oxblood.” Unsurprisingly, the song is savage, showcasing both MCs firing on all cylinders, set to hard, industrial-tinged beats.
Hear “Oxblood” below, then grab tickets to see both rappers tomorrow night, Jan. 30 at The Basement East for a special, stacked out Kanye vs. Jay-Z showcase!
