Welsh alternative rockers The Joy Formidable have been busy lately, announcing a March 25 release date for their new album Hitch and a string of U.S. tour dates all in the last week. Nashville is lucky enough to host the group on one of their fourteen stops this side of the pond, April 8 at Mercy Lounge along with English indie pop band Everything Everything.  VIP tickets (which include a meet and greet The Joy Formidable) are available now, and general admission tickets go on sale Friday, Jan. 29 at 10 a.m. CST here.

As if all that wasn’t enough, The Joy Formidable also just debuted a provocative new video for “The Last Thing on My Mind,” the single from the upcoming album. Frontwoman Rhiannon “Ritzy” Bryan comments, “It’s a song about freedom, about feeling alive and part of that is about sexual liberation too… it’s beautiful and provocative and is some small attempt to re-address the existing imbalance of perspective and nudity in music videos.” Watch the video below, and don’t forget to grab your tickets for the show before they’re gone!
