As if the initial lineup announcement for this year’s Forecastle Fest, returning July 15-17 to Louisville, wasn’t exciting enough, a slew of additional artists have just been announced. Electro-funk outfit Ghostland Observatory, Dan Auerbach fronted supergroup The Arcs, Americana sensation Pokey LaFarge, and beat master Baauer top the additions to the already stacked lineup, featuring The Avett Brothers, Alabama Shakes, Ryan Adams, Death Cab For Cutie and more. Other new artists of note include Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Hudson Mohawke, Alunageorge, Tourist, Heartless Bastards, Patrick Watson, Sarah Jarosz, Banners, Madisen Ward & The Mama Bear, and more. Locals blog faves Future Thieves and Myzica also got the nod, and, one of the more interesting additions, is Teddy Abrams (the music director for the Louisville Orchestra) who will be curating a special “Louisville-centric” showcase that should definitely be on your list to check out.
Head below for the full lineup (new additions in bold), stay tuned for additional details as the summer approaches, and grab your weekend passes while they are still being offered at a discounted price right here!
