As we previously announced, local rockers Cage the Elephant stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon last night to perform “Mess Around,” the lead single from their Dan Auerbach-produced fourth album, Tell Me I’m Pretty, which dropped just a few weeks ago, on Dec. 18. The guys also played the single on James Corden last month, but their Fallon appearance had even more of the Cage intensity we know and love, with singer Matt Shultz roaming the audience and playing to The Roots while the rest of the band showcased their new LP’s rawer, lean rock sound.
