Boom Forest-2015-620

In anticipation of the upcoming sophomore LP, Post Knight Errant, from Boom Forest (due out on Nov. 6), we are excited to premiere a live video for the first single “Silver Hair.”  The new record is the follow-up to his well received self-titled debut, which released two years ago now, and features more of primary songwriter’s (John Paul Roney) deft mastery of the manipulting the folk genre with spaced out effects and, of course, those soaring vocals.  However, based on our advance listen to the new record, there is a maturity in the song writing in the second album, and that sentiment was echoed by Roney himself when asked about the new record.

“I’ve always been forced to edit myself into a box. On this record, I embraced the eccentricity of my taste and writing. I realized that there’s nobody to answer to, and that gave me artistic freedom like I’ve never experienced.”

Mark your calendar for the release show on Nov. 6 at The Basement, where Gardening, Not Archetecture and Photo Ops are lined up to support.  In the meantime, take multiple spins through our premiere of the live video for “Silver Hair” below.
