Committed to providing community-focused, all ages entertainment, and boasting an impressive lineup of both national and regional talent, Pilgrimage already seems to be setting its roots for what we hope and expect to be many years of success to come. As we’ve done in the past for Bonnaroo, and in what seems like an appropriate move, given that Pilgrimage is now the closest full-scale rock-geared fest we have, we’re going to preview this year’s lineup with daily artist spotlights, all leading up to what’s sure to be an unforgettable weekend! Hailing from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and now based in Nashville, singer-songwriter Stevie Woodward might be listed at the bottom of the Pilgrimage poster, but that certainly doesn’t mean you can gloss her over. Infusing a soulful rock sound with a country edge, a bluesy backbone, and a healthy dose of twang, Woodward cites Tom Petty, Sheryl Crow, and Bruce Springsteen as her biggest influences; influences you can definitely hear in her unique, no-frills approach to writing downright good songs. A self-taught guitarist, Stevie’s knack for penning heartfelt tunes has helped her win numerous songwriting competitions and coveted spots supporting national artists. Her latest, self-titled album dropped earlier this year, which means you have plenty of time to get familiar before you cheer her on at Pilgrimage Fest!
