Wonder what is going on in Birmingham? Check out Sanders Bohlke

I usually stick to Nashville bands or shows around Nashville… with the occasional subconscious plea for Sigur Ros to visit our fair city.  Well, I am going to step a couple of hours down the road from here, and tell you about Sanders Bohlke out of Birmingham.  I don’t really know much about him, other than Birmingham is his home, and he spent some time in Oxford, Mississippi.  I don’t really know how to define his music either.  I do know that it is hypnotizingly good.

Have a listen to the first single “Elevate” off of his upcoming 2013 LP Ghost Boy.  It looks like we just missed a September 26th date at The Basement, but I hope we’ll get another date after the release in 2013.
