Been looking for an excuse to check out the east side’s newest (and coolest) showspace, The Basement/Grimey’s satellite spot The Basement East? Here’s one hell of a good one!
Locals Chrome Pony and Bowling Green’s Morning Teleportation are slated to perform this evening with some “VERY SPECIAL GUESTS.” Who are those very special guests? All signs point to none other than local (via Bowling Green) rockstars and friends of the site, Cage the Elephant!!
From the horse’s (er, elephant’s?) mouth, the band tweeted this (and then re-tweeted The Basement East’s show link):

Also, promoters Show This have been teasing us all morning long:
there really should be some sort of legislation regarding unsupervised exotic animals running around untethered in East Nashville

And, if you’ll notice, even the shortened ticket link itself reads “CageTheBEAST” (Beast is the nickname everyone’s been using for “Basement East”).
So, uh, yeah. Seems pretty safe to assume it’s going to be one crazy evening in East Nashville. Tickets are only $10, so you’d be crazy not to check this out! 21+, 8 p.m., 7 p.m. doors.
