TheTallestManOnEarth-620

As we’ve been raving about for months, Swedish singer-songwriter The Tallest Man on Earth is set to return to Nashville May 27 for a full band show at The Ryman Auditorium, supported by buzzworthy up and comers Madisen Ward and the Mama Bear! We’re insanely excited for this one, and definitely have it pegged as one of this spring’s can’t-miss events. While tickets are still available to purchase here, we’ve also decided to give away a pair, so enter below and read on to find out more about the show!

THE TALLEST MAN ON EARTH

Swedish indie folk singer Kristian Matsson, better known by his stage name The Tallest Man on Earth, recently announced that his highly-anticipated followup to 2012’s There’s No Leaving Now will be called Dark Bird Is Home, and is set for release May 12 through Dead Oceans. Matsson will be hitting the road with a full band for the first time ever, returning to Nashville for the first time in three years, for his inaugural show at The Ryman. Over the past decade, Matsson, whose style is not unlike a modern day Bob Dylan, has found critical and commercial success over three full-lengths and two EPs of deeply personal, raw, lush folk rock. His live show reflects his intimate style, and couldn’t be better suited for the Ryman stage.

MADISEN WARD AND THE MAMA BEAR

As we told you in a recent Bonnaroo Band of the Day feature, mother/son duo Madisen Ward and the Mama Bear are one of the most buzzworthy recent acts to emerge from the folk and soul scene. Hailing from Kansas City, the pair are making festival rounds this summer, and are prepping to release their debut album, recorded right here in Nashville, riding high on the buzz of fantastic lead single “Silent Movies.”
