Ticket Giveaway: Nick Waterhouse and Allah-Las, Mercy Lounge, Sunday Night in Nashville

Hey, hey, hey…  We got ourselves another giveaway for you guys over here.  Nick Waterhouse and the Allah-Las are playing on Sunday night at Mercy Lounge, and we think that you should definitely be there.  I’ve already touched on this briefly in our “Weekend In Nashville” post, but I just had to say a little more about this one from a personal spot.  I’m heading up to Starry Nights today, so… leave an email here if you are interested in a pair of tickets, and I will pick a winner around noon on Sunday afternoon.

Native Los Angelian Nick Waterhouse may have just started his professional music journey two years ago, but it is a sound that harkens back to the 60’s R&B scene.  It is a sound that is full of horns and harmonies, but it is uptempo enough to keep you hooked for an hour at a club… even on a Sunday night.  I’ve attached a Spotify player with the 2012 record Time’s All Gone after the jump.  I dare you to listen to it this afternoon or on Sunday afternoon, and not want to go to this show.

You also get the cool, surf sounds of the Allah-Las.  I first heard them about 6 months ago, and there has been a link to their page on my desktop since that fateful day.  I’ve been listening to their stuff a lot, and wondering when and how I would get the chance to spread the word around this here ‘Ville.  Nothing better for me than a show announcement.  You can take a listen to their “Tell Me (What’s On Your Mind)” 7-inch at our “weekend post”, and you can have a listen to the “Catamaran” 7-inch after the jump.
