John Moreland has released a haunting video for his song “Cherokee”, which is a track from his third studio album, High on Tulsa Heat, scheduled for release on April 21 via Thirty Tigers. This video comes just about a week after the premiere of another song from the album, “Heart’s Too Heavy,” which Moreland says is “a song about figuring out why you feel like shit all the time. It was the first song we recorded for the album. It came together pretty quickly — almost everything on it was a first take. We found out Jesse Aycock was in town that day, so we got him to come over and play steel.” As we told you here earlier, Moreland will be doing two Nashville shows this week, both on April 15, at Music City Roots and The 5 Spot respectively. Keep reading to see the “Cherokee” video and listen to “Heart’s Too Heavy,” along with another track off the new album, “You Don’t Care For Me Enough To Cry”.
