Ponderosa w/ Vinyl Thief & New Madrid, Mercy Lounge, Tonight!

Ponderosa has certainly been making the rounds since they got to town a few days ago.  They hit up Grimey’s last night for a pretty special in-store, and that is the perfect place for them to support the release of their newest release Pool Party.  They also got a spot on Lightning 100’s Indie Underground last night.  All this being said, they have been on the radar since Paste dubbed them a Best of What’s Next back in 2011.  Have a peak at the video “Black Hill Smoke” from Pool Party below, and Paste is streaming that new record here.

The fun for tonight doesn’t stop there.  It’s like a Paste party.  Our old pals Vinyl Thief are coming in for support on that one, and that is possibly ironic or possibly coincidental given their recent acknowledgement by Paste as a “Tennessee Band You Should Listen To Now”.  For those of you that were wondering, they did hit their Kickstarter goal, so we can expect a “big boy” record from them soon.  In the meantime, you can have another listen to that EP  Rebel Hill below.

Things gets started around 9pm with Athens band New Madrid.  I don’t know much about them, but we can listen to that player below together.  You can grab your  $10 tickets here, and get out to see some live music tonight!
