Paper Lantern & The Little Bear, Mercy Lounge, Tonight in Nashville

Man, after the last couple of weeks around here, I’m ready for a break, and I think you will find what you are looking for in the playful, sweet, folky, poppy fun that is going on at Mercy Lounge tonight.  Paper Lantern has been cracking me up since I saw their video for “Never Saw It Coming” which features a Nashville zombie attack during a picnic.  It’s the first video from their EP Starlight & Silence that came out a couple of weeks ago, and it is worth a couple of minutes of your time today.  Once you see it, you will see why they are running a bit short on cash from the zombie vaccines, and are asking for your help to fund a full length record and tour.  You can find out more about that zombie drive at their kickstarter page.  It’ll give you something to read while you are listening to the EP, and then you can check out the zombie vid to see what the hell I am talking about.  Both are after the jump.

The night also includes performances from The Little Bear who you might remember from that sweet little Live & Reel session back in October.  Other acts include Grass Roots Kids & The Shantys.  It’ll be a relaxing night, so get out to see some live music.
