Whether you’re a fan or not, the legacy of rockers Kiss and Def Leppard, and their influence on the musical landscape of the ’70s and ’80s, respectively, is undeniable. The megastars are teaming up for a massive arena tour this summer, Kiss in celebration of their 40th anniversary, and they’ll be making a stop in Music City July 16 at Bridgestone Arena. Both groups last played Nashville in 2012, Kiss with Mötley Crüe (whose farewell tour also comes to Bridgestone Oct. 15) and Def Leppard with Poison. Though Leppard are arguably the better band (we’ll defend Pyromania to the death), the theatrics and showmanship of Kiss is undeniable, and these two acts make a pretty great, if not unlikely, pairing. Kiss have also been the more prolific in recent years, with their latest, 2012’s Monster, actually counting as a pretty respectable late career effort.

Tickets for this spectacle went on sale today, and range from a semi-affortable $42.60 to an outlandish $152.50. Full list of dates after the jump.
