Do you remember that Portlandia: The Tour is coming to Nashville’s Marathon Music Works on February 24th?  Well, things are underway with that tour already, and we got a sneak peek of the kind of action that Portlandia will bring.  For those of you that have watched the show, you know they like to have cameos of actors and musicians on their televised romps… so, why wouldn’t they do it with their live show as well.  The tour made a stop in Williamsburg (Brooklyn) on Friday night, and they entertained with cameos by Adam Horowitz (of the Beastie Boys) and Hugh Cornwell (of the Stranglers).  Saturday’s show at the Bowery Ballroom (Manhattan) featured a stop in by Annie Clark (St. Vincent) where she performed a cover of Pearl Jam’s “Black” (check that out below… and be careful for a couple of “F-bombs” near the end).  Show creators Fred Armisen (SNL) and Carrie Brownstein (Sleater-Kinney & Wild Flag) said that every show on the tour will be different, and St. Vincent isn’t playing Nashville until May 21st.  So, let’s play a guessing game at which Nashvillian’s might join in on the Portlandia fun.  Click here to get your tickets.

(Apparently, I like parentheses and big chunky blocks of text today!!!!)
