Have you made it out to a “Bleed The Ballroom” party yet?  I made it to the third installment a couple of weeks ago, and it was kind of like I crashed a house party.  It’s not to say that I wasn’t welcomed, but it’s rare that you are in such a small space rubbing shoulders with Nashville’s next breed of musicians.  I think there is a small backroom, but none of the performers seemed to spend any real time in there.  At one point, Jake Orrall bumped into me with a bottle of bourbon in his hand, Jamin Orrall was head bobbing out to Denney & The Jets, Tristen was catching up with friends after her set, and Jesse Darlin joined Denney & the Jets to close things out.  So, there’s your explanation of the awesome that is Bleed The Ballroom, now let’s talk about tonight’s grand finale.

They took a week off to line up tonight’s show, and they have pulled in new Nashville resident John McCauley (of Deer Tick and Diamond Rugs and Deervana) for a solo set to open things up.  We are looking at some fun DJ sets from Unzipped Fly with a couple of Darlin’s.  And, of course, you are going to wind things up with the good times of Denney and the Jets.  The real kicker will be finding out who the other unannounced guests are going to be tonight.

I don’t know what you could possible have planned that would be better than this tonight.  So, cancel the dinner date, the dog can wait a little longer, grab a sixer (get it before you get close because there isn’t much around), and head down to Ovvio Arte around 8pm for a sure fire fun night.  You can click here for a map to the venue.
