Pop rockers Fall Out Boy have just announced a MASSIVE summer tour, which will bring them to our premiere outdoor venue, The Woods at Fontanel, on July 13. Oddly, most of the tour is a co-headliner with Nashville locals Paramore, but The Woods happens to be one of just of handful of dates for which Paramore will be absent. Tickets will go on sale Saturday, Jan. 18, at 10 a.m., with a pre-sale beginning one day earlier, Jan. 17, at 10 a.m. (use the password ‘ALONE’). New Politics are slated to open.

So why no Paramore, you ask? We’re not exactly sure, but here’s our guess. As you may recall, Fall Out Boy played both at The Ryman and at Rocketown (for a special CMT taping) in 2013, but skipped Nashville on their large-scale arena tour. Paramore, however, just played Bridgestone in November. Since this summer’s “Monumentour” is taking place at outdoor amphitheaters, and Fontanel is considerably smaller than a typical amphitheater, it might not be economically feasible for both artists to perform. However, Fall Out Boy was due for a large Nashville show, and there was enough space in their routing to allow it. That’s not to say Paramore couldn’t announce a one-off in Music City as well.

For fans hoping to catch both headliners, there’s always a July 30 option in Atlanta, at Aaron’s Amphitheatre at  Lakewood.
