Nashville Represents in Initial South By Southwest Band Listings!

The all-things-up-and-coming music orgy that is South By Southwest in Austin, TX published their first two listings of performers recently (and I just ran into them today).  You can take a look at the first and second listing for yourself, but I wanted to give a special shout out to so-far selected Nashville acts The Ettes, Matthew Perryman Jones, PUJOL, & Turbo Fruits.  Also, I’d like to give a well deserved nod to Lucero (Memphis and playing tonight and tomorrow at Mercy Lounge), Skewby (Memphis) and Alabama Shakes (Athens, AL and playing Mercy Lounge on Decemeber 1st!).

I’m sure we will see some more of our hometown heroes announced soon.  I’ll let you know when I hear about that.
