I wasn’t going to write today so I could revel in the start of the pro football season, but then I saw that The Black Belles are having a little get together at The Basement, and I just couldn’t pass that up. So, now you have something to do tonight in Nashville.
You may best know Third Man Records artist The Black Belles as the backing band with Stephen Colbert for his 7″ Charlene singles. Yes, I am talking about Stephen Colbert from The Colbert Report. What you might not know is that they have some singles out of their own stuff, and they play with a definite Jack White touched growl in their music.
Tickets for the show are $5 at the door which open at 9pm. So, if you are already tired of football, start planning out what you are going to do tonight in Nashville.
