We have another submission from a new contributor, Robert Mento, and he is pretty fired up this show.

LA based synth rockers, Shiny Toy Guns, will be making a return to Nashville tonight at Marathon Music Works in support of their October 2012 release, III.   The band makes its way back to Music City with its original lineup from their 2006 debut We Are Pilots which includes hearthrob vocalist/bassist Carah Faye Charnow, who returns after a brief stint with her band, Versant, in Sweden.

Combining techno, new wave, and indie electronica influences, Shiny Toy Guns promise a night of slick electronics, New-Order-esque bass riffs, and reverberating vocals.  You can grab your $18 advance tickets here, or you can pay $20 at the door.

Things get started at 7:30PM featuring supporting acts Midi Matilda, Oh No Fiasco, and co-headliners Dirty Heads. In the meantime, check out Shiny Toy Guns’ latest single “Fading Listening” below.
