Once again, we’re bringing you our roundup of the best live music on television for the week. The amount of great performances can be hard to keep track of, so every Monday I’ll recap the best and most interesting of what’s coming up. I’ll be sure to give you one essential pick for each night, as well as a runner up or two when a lot of great bands are playing. Also, lots of artists performing on TV have upcoming shows in Nashville, so I’ve added ticket links and dates below.
Here are the best performances I think you should set your DVR (or check Hulu the next day) for:

MONDAY (3/25)
DON’T MISS: Royal Teeth on Last Call with Carson Daly [NBC; 1:35AM/12:35c]: New Orleans natives Royal Teeth released their Dangerbird Records debut, Act Naturally, last spring. Since then, the band has been making their rounds on tour and in the festival circuit, and winning over fans in droves with their energetic, poppy, and unique indie rock sound!
Check out Royal Teeth performing “Wild” live on KINK Radio:
Bonus: Langhorne Slim on Conan [TBS; 11PM/10c]: Singer-songwriter Langhorne Slim has shared the stage with the likes of The Lumineers, The Avett Brothers, Murder by Death, Josh Ritter, and Lucero, among others. His latest, The Way We Move, has been universally praised, and sounds like Dylan for the modern era.
Langhorne Slim will be performing with Lucero at Headliners Music Hall in Louisville on 5/3/13. You can find more info here.
Bonus: Ed Sheeran on Late Show with David Letterman [CBS; 11:35PM/10:35c]: If you didn’t catch British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran last month on Conan, you’ve got another shot this week. Sheeran is currently on tour with T-Swift, and has written some of the biggest recent hits on pop radio.
Ed Sheeran will be performing with Taylor Swift at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville on 9/19/13, 9/20/13, and 9/21/13. You can find more info here.

TUESDAY (3/26)
DON’T MISS: Django Django on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno [NBC; 11:35PM/10:35c]: Artsy British indie/psychedelic rockers Django Django have been a seemingly unstoppable force since releasing their amazing self-titled debut full-length last year. Not only are they one of my most anticipated bands at Bonnaroo this year, but they’re also one of the freshest new live bands around.
Django Django will be performing at Bonnaroo in June. You can find more info here. Here’s the official video for the band’s single “Default:”
Bonus: Little Green Cars on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon [NBC; 12:35AM/11:35c]: Irish Americana rockers Little Green Cars’ Fallon performance coincides with the release of their debut album, Absolute Zero. They’re one of the freshest new folk bands in the (admittedly stale) game, and already a contendor for best of 2013.
Bonus: A Silent Film on Last Call with Carson Daly [NBC; 1:35AM/12:35c]: A Silent Film’s Sand & Snow was one of the most underrated albums of 2012. The English alt-rockers have perfected a knack for crafting huge, arena-ready, poppy and immensely danceable compositions and they’re purely a ton of fun.
Bonus: Pegi Young & The Survivors on Late Show with David Letterman [CBS; 11:35PM/10:35c]: For the past several years, Pegi Young, who rose to prominence performing with her husband Neil, has been proving how much artistic merit she has in her own right. Her latest, Bracing for Impact, is a folky, old country-tinged romp with a ton of soul.
Bonus: Kid Cudi on Jimmy Kimmel Live! [ABC; 11:35PM/10:35c]: Rapper Kid Cudi has lost a little steam since his fantastic debut, but with a strong new single and plans and a new record, Indicud, dropping next month, I’m hoping we’ll see a return to his former glory!

WEDNESDAY (3/27)
DON’T MISS: Wavves on Late Show with David Letterman [CBS; 11:35PM/10:35c]: Wavves have come a long way since their, lo-fi, noisy surf rock beginnings. With a cameo on Big Boi’s new album, and the release of their latest, strongest, and most grownup record yet, Afraid of Heights, 2013 is shaping up to be a huge year for the little indie rockers that could.
Wavves will be performing at Mercy Lounge in Nasvhille on 4/16/13. You can find more info here. Check out the band’s new video for “Demon to Lean On:”
Bonus: The Men on Last Call with Carson Daly [NBC; 1:35AM/12:35c]: The Men’s blend of psych, surf rock, and folk, funneled into a retro rock package, makes them one of the most interesting bands to come out of Brooklyn’s indie rock scene in recent memory. Check out their latest, New Moon!
The Men will be performing at The Stone Fox in Nasvhille on 4/30/13. You can find more info here.
Bonus: The Milk Carton Kids on Conan [TBS; 11PM/10c]: Indie folk duo The Milk Carton Kids just released their new album, The Ash & Clay, and it’s already a best of spring contendor. Their contemporary folk sound with old folk sensibilities is not to miss!
The Milk Carton Kids will be performing at The High Watt in Nasvhille on 4/17/13. You can find more info here.
Bonus: Divine Fits on Jimmy Kimmel Live! [ABC; 11:35PM/10:35c]: We’ve talked about Divine Fits on the site plenty already, but how can you pass up on a Spoon/Wolf Parade superband? You can’t! Watch ’em on TV, then catch ’em this summer at Bonnaroo.
Divine Fits will be performing at Bonnaroo in June. You can find more info here.

THURSDAY (3/28)
DON’T MISS: Kendrick Lamar on Jimmy Kimmel Live! [ABC; 11:35PM/10:35c]: If you missed Kendrick Lamar’s recent SNL or Letterman stops, you’ve got another shot to catch him. I can’t get enough of the amazing young rapper, and his 2012 breakout album is still on repeat!
Kendrick Lamar will be performing at Bonnaroo in June. You can find more info here. Check out the rapper’s recent performance of “Swimming Pools (Drank)” on ‘SNL:’
Bonus: Gold Fields on Last Call with Carson Daly [NBC; 1:35AM/12:35c]: If you missed Australian indie poppers Gold Fields on Kimmel, now’s your chance to catch up! Their recent new wave-tinged debut is already one of the most fun records of 2013!
Bonus: Imagine Dragons on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno [NBC; 11:35PM/10:35c]: I’m definitely ready for some new tunes from Imagine Dragons after their crazy over-saturated 2012, but the poppy indie rockers still put on a solid performance every single time!

FRIDAY (3/29)
DON’T MISS: Ed Sheeran on Live! with Kelly and Michael [check local listings]: There’s nothing of note happening Friday night, but if you’re a mid-morning TV watcher and you didn’t catch Ed Monday night on Letterman, you’ve got another shot to catch him.
Ed Sheeran will be performing with Taylor Swift at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville on 9/19/13, 9/20/13, and 9/21/13. You can find more info here. Check out the singer’s official video for “Lego House:”
