It’s only been a couple of years since Nashville native Cecilia Castleman captured our attention with wistful and folky early single “Lonely Nights,” but in the time since, the introspective, poppy, timeless young singer-songwriter has grown an impressive amount both in her artistry and her popularity. Cosigned by the likes of Zane Lowe and John Mayer, and having performed at fests like Bonnaroo and SXSW, and shared the stage with big names like Hozier, Sheryl Crow, Melissa Etheridge, and Marcus King, Castleman was raised by musician parents, and influenced at a young age by classic artists like Fleetwood Mac, The Beatles, Bonnie Raitt, and Brian Wilson. Her sound now, forged over a string of singles over the last few years, alternates between more rootsy, acoustic, and intimate folk, and lush, melodic pop rock a la Maggie Rogers or Holly Humberstone, showcased on recent tracks like “Looking for June” and a reworking of an earlier tune, “It’s Alright (Nashville Session).”

Now signed to acclaimed indie label Glassnote Records, Cecilia is set to release her self-titled, debut full-length, recorded at the famed Henson Recording Studios in LA, and produced by the great Don Was, in just a few weeks, on Jan. 24. In support, the singer-songwriter is hosting a very special hometown release show the following evening, Jan. 25, at The Blue Room at Third Man Records! Another local favorite, Hank Compton, will support, and tickets are still available right here while they last!
