Since landing in Nashville in early 2021 and launching his solo project moony, Seth Findley, who spent his youth in Singapore and teens and young adulthood in Texas, and fronted bands before going solo, has become one of Music City’s most essential alt-rock fixtures, capturing our attention with a series of great early EPs from 2021-2023, before dropping his impressive, expansive, story-driven, and genre-bending debut full-length, WARNING HIGH CUBE, earlier this year. Building on his earlier work, but even more cohesive, cinematic, and inspired, channeling further elements of indie rock, pop, and some punk rock edge, moony’s debut is not just one of the best local releases of the year, but one of our favorite records of 2024 period, and the clearest confirmation yet that he’s primed to become one of Nashville’s next big breakout artists.
In support of his latest, moony is currently in the midst of a U.S. tour throughout October, which features a stop in his adopted hometown on Oct. 16 at The East Room! We’re always thrilled to see moony live, and though he treats Nashville to performances at a fairly regular clip, this latest celebration of his great new LP, at one of our favorite intimate local venues, is sure to be an extra special occasion, especially with great local support from fellow No Country favorites Ethansroom and nickname jos. Tickets are still available right here while they last, but we’re excited to announce that we’re also giving away a pair of tickets to one lucky fan!
