[TICKET GIVEAWAY] Devon Gilfillian’s NYE Disco! | Dec. 31 @ Eastside Bowl

An artist we’ve been following since his earliest days in Music City, and one of Nashville’s most impressive success stories of the last decade, eclectic soul singer Devon Gilfillian has been wowing us with his powerful voice and immense musical talent since springing onto the scene with his self-titled debut EP in 2016. Originally from Pennsylvania and raised in a musical household, the strength of Devon’s early solo material and his earnest and engaging live shows in Nashville and beyond helped the singer score a major label record deal ahead of his first full-length, Black Hole Rainbow, which arrived in early 2020 to critical acclaim, and, impressively, earned a Grammy nomination for Best Engineering. That same year, Gilfillian released a track-for-track cover of Marvin Gaye’s classic What’s Going On, with profits going to benefit Tennessee’s Equity Alliance Fund, and, despite some time lost to the pandemic, continued to amass praise for his subsequent work and perform at increasingly larger venues and fests over the following few years. Earlier this year, Devon returned with his highly-anticipated sophomore LP Love You Anyway, through Fantasy Records, his best and most ambitious effort to date, which further hones his pop-accessible, gospel and r&b informed, anthemic and raw flavor of soul music, notching another hit with lead single “All I Really Wanna Do.”

Announced earlier in the fall, Gilfillian is set to host a very special New Year’s Eve bash Dec. 31 at Eastside Bowl, dubbed Devon’s NYE Disco!, set to figure a DJ set from DJ Sugarcube, best dressed prizes, a photo station, and a night of disco and house hits, as Devon invites you to dance your way into the new year. While the promise of some “very special guests” has been teased since the announcement, we’ve just learned the first round of local favorites who will be joining Devon for the party, and it’s as impressive an array of artists as expected: Alana Royale, Allison Young & Thad Kopec, Arts Fishing Club, Brian Sour, Charlie Treat, Crystal Rose, Eric Slick, and Jess Nolan! It’s a lineup of some of our city’s best talent, in a super cool local venue, playing cool dance music into the new year- what more could you ask for in a NYE bash?
