It’s only been a couple of weeks since resident local rocker and Third Man head honcho Jack White announced a surprise, intimate show at Inglewood’s American Legion Post 82 at the end of July; a performance which doubled as a benefit to buy the popular Eastside haunt a new sound system. Unsurprisingly, tickets sold out instantly, and the event kicked off a prolific summer stretch for White, who formally dropped surprise new LP No Name (first released an unannounced, in-store freebie at Third Man ahead of that American Legion show) on Aug. 2, and has had a busy return to stage in recent weeks, appearing at intimate shows in Georgia and Detroit, while also jetting overseas to perform at fests in South Korea and Scandinavia.
If you were bummed you couldn’t get into the show at the Legion (you can count us among that group too, so we sympathize), you’ll be thrilled to know that you have a second chance to see Jack and his band at another intimate local favorite spot- The Basement East, while they’ll perform yet another pop-up show tomorrow, Aug. 13! As before, the only way to get tickets is to sign up for a code right here, then look out for the public on sale tomorrow, Aug. 13 at noon CDT (or 10 a.m. for Third Man Vault members) right here. Hear “That’s How I’m Feeling” from White’s latest, below, and stream No Name on your platform of choice now!
