Like we’ve been doing for many years now, we’re making it our mission to help you get acquainted with many of our favorite acts from Bonnaroo‘s 2024 lineup. After roaring back to life in 2022, after two years off due to Covid and weather, and feeling fully like its old self again with a great fest last summer, this year marks Bonnaroo’s 21st installment (and 23rd anniversary), boasting not only another great and varied lineup, but also a continuation of some of the big changes and improvements rolled out over the last couple of years, with more flexibility in ticketing and camping, a reimagined “Outeroo” campground area, new activations, and further new ways to Roo. Back once again in its usual June 13-16 timeframe, we’re counting down the days until another great weekend on the farm.
As we dig through the entire schedule, we’ll highlight a spread of performers spanning across genres and stages, big and small, new and old, to bring you some of the most interesting, lesser-known, and most highly-recommended among this year’s crop of artists. And as our time at ‘Roo approaches, we’ll also be bringing you some special features and full list-style daily lineup guides, to help you plan your weekend ahead of the fest. While these previews won’t span every artist, and might omit some more obvious must-see acts, we hope they’ll serve as a way to help you navigate Bonnaroo’s gargantuan lineup, and to make the most of your busy weekend at the fest!

LEARN
If you weren’t pay closing attention, it might’ve felt like alt hip hop and pop rock artist Dominic Fike became an overnight success, but, although certainly meteoric, his ascent the last few years was well-earned. Hailing from southern Florida, Fike experienced a challenging childhood, with an absentee father and a mother battling addiction, causing him to turn to siblings, relatives, friends, and, eventually, music for stability in his youth. Learning guitar and linking up with amateur producers and rappers (evening forming his own young hip hop collective), Dominic began making his own songs and beats and self-releasing them on SoundCloud as a high schooler, gaining a respectable early internet following, which eventually turned to serious label interest in his early 20s. Notably sparking a major label bidding war simply on the strength of those early demos (which have all but been erased from the internet since), and while serving a brief stint in jail after violating a house arrest, Fike’s 2018 debut EP, Don’t Forget About Me, Demos, initially put him on the map, notching viral hits and leading to collabs with artists like Brockhampton and Halsey. 2020 debut album What Could Possibly Go Wrong further cemented the hip hop-infused pop rock singer’s status as a star in the making, landing him a features in documentary series The New York Times Presents, a collab with Justin Bieber, and a concert on Fortnite, and his foray into acting, joining the cast of hit HBO drama Euphoria in 2022 for its second season, helped introduce Fike to an even wider audience (he’s since also appeared in a couple of buzzy indie films). Last year saw Fike embark on his biggest headlining tour yet and appear at fests like Coachella, while also releasing his sophomore LP, Sunburn, a more pop rock geared and introspective work exploring themes of addiction, heartbreak, regret, and jealousy, which he followed up more recently with EP ’14 Minutes.’ Spawning another string of viral hits, Dominic successfully avoided the sophomore slump and proved his star power- as much a product of his vulnerable and approachable personal ethos as his wonderfully catchy music- is the real deal, and primed for a big festival stage.
