The musical alias of Australian singer-songwriter Angus Stone, who previously released music under his own name and as Lady of the Sunshine, and also collaborates with his sister as acclaimed duo Angus & Julia Stone, Dope Lemon formerly began as a moniker and a revamped musical ethos with 2016 LP Honey Bones. Across seven years and three more LPs since- 2019’s Smooth Big Cat, last year’s Rose Pink Cadillac, and brand new effort Kimosabé– Stone has embraced a groovy, woozy, vibey, laid back style of slacker rock, amassing a loyal following and critical accolades along the way.
In support of his latest record- the multifaceted artist’s most effortless, sun-soaked, and lush work to date- Dope Lemon is in the midst of a fall tour of North America, which caps off with a Nov. 11 performance at Eastside Bowl (which, as far as we can tell, might be his first Music City show ever under the Dope Lemon moniker). Opening up the show is Franklin Jonas, the younger brother of famed pop group The Jonas Brothers, who formerly launched his solo career as an indie artist earlier this year with EP Sewer Rat, and tickets are available here while they last. We’re excited to announce that we’re also giving away a pair of tickets to one lucky fan; preview the lineup and enter below.
