It’s been a whirlwind few weeks for young, breakout pop star Olivia Rodrigo, whose 2021 frenetic, confessional, angsty, pop punk meets bedroom pop debut LP Sour became one of the most popular and well-reviewed major releases of that year. Proving immune to the sophomore slum, Rodrigo’s followup GUTS, which dropped earlier this month, is another inspired, genre-bending, raw, endlessly catchy, instant pop classic from the 20-year-old singer and actress, who once again teamed with producer Dan Nigro (the former frontman of 2000s indie/emo outfit As Tall As Lions, for all you fellow millennials out there) for her latest work.
Hot off the release of a new video for “get him back!,” a well-received performance live on the VMAs, and a win at the show for Best Editing for “Vampire,” Rodrigo announced a sprawling world tour earlier this week in support of GUTS, a run which kicks off in February in Palm Springs, traverses Europe throughout the spring and early summer after an initial North American leg, then returns to North America in July before capping off in LA in August. Buzzy pop singer Chappell Roan opens the first North American leg, genre-bending alt pop fave Remi Wolf supports all of Europe, and English pop breakout PinkPantheress supports the second run of North America, save for April’s New York shows and August’s Los Angeles shows, which feature support from legendary alt rockers The Breeders (Rodrigo has long-cited her parents’ love of ’90s alt rock as formative in her own taste, and that alt rock and punk edge clearly informs her ow approach to pop).
Following a 2022 debut in Nashville at the Grand Ole Opry House, Olivia returns in support of GUTS early on in her run, for a March 9, 2024 show, this time at Bridgestone Arena! It’s the leg with support from Chappell Roan, and, like many high-profile recent tours, Ticketmaster is asking fans to register for a chance to buy tickets. You have until 9 p.m. CDT on Sunday, Sept. 17 to do so right here, with fans randomly selected to receive codes for a chance to buy tickets on Wednesday, Sept. 20 and Thursday, Sept. 21. American Express cardholders may also register separately here for an additional chance at early access. Given Olivia’s massive popularity, and huge recent singles like “vampire” and “bad idea right?,” we have no doubt that this will be one of the hottest, and hardest to score tickets for 2024, but if Ticketmaster sticks to the announced pricing of $49.50 – $199.50, at least it won’t break the bank quite as much as some of 2023’s biggest shows.
Register ASAP for a chance at tickets for your preferred date, check out a full list of Olivia Rodrigo’s North American shows, steam GUTS on your platform of choice, and watch the videos for her three latest singles below!
