Drawn to music from a young age, R&B and pop singer Kiana Ledé first experienced a taste of success after winning a Kidz Bop sponsored talent contest in 2011, as a teen, landing a major label record deal with RCA, and moving to Los Angeles from her native Arizona in pursuit of serious go at music. It was a transition into acting, however, which first earned Ledé wider recognition, scoring roles on shows like MTV’s Scream and short-lived Netflix comedy All About the Washingtons. After finding a new label home with Republic, Ledé’s 2018 EP Selfless, and breakout single “Ex,” catapulted her back into musical recognition in a major way, and 2019 EP Myself, as well as critically-acclaimed 2020 debut album Kiki, cemented her status as one of R&B’s most exciting rising talents. She’s collabed with artists like Ari Lennox, 6lack, Gary Clark Jr., Kehlani, Cautious Clay, G-Eazy, Usher, Offset, and Khalid, scored Billboard hits and platinum singles, and with her recent sophomore album, Grudges, Kiana further flexes her raw lyrical vulnerability, sonic adventurousness, and vibey, contemporary musical sensibilities, culminating in her best work to date.
Out in support of Grudges, Ledé is set to play Nashville- what appears to be her first show here ever- Oct. 11 at Eastside Bowl, along with fellow Los Angeles based, buzzy R&B breakout Phabo! A must-see shows for fans of earnest, stylish, emotionally complex R&B and pop music, you can still get tickets right here while they last, but we’re excited to announce that we’re also giving away a pair of tickets to one lucky fan!
