Formed in 2020 amidst the pandemic lockdown (it’s still rather trippy to see post-Covid artists who are already so accomplished), Southern California surf and garage rock outfit Sun Room sprung onto the scene that same year with their debut EP, Sol Del Sur, quickly following it up the next year with sophomore effort Somewhere Tropical. Crediting their early success to viral attention on TikTok, the band soon found themselves scoring placements on popular TV shows like Outer Banks, selling out shows in their native California, appearing at fests like Austin City Limits, and, by 2022, traversing the globe in support of famed English pop singer Louis Tomlinson, before embarking on their first headlining tour of the U.S. last year.
Though a relatively new band, Sun Room have played Nashville several times already, in support of the aforementioned Tomlinson at The Ryman, at a more intimate supporting gig with Inhaler before that, and, for their first local headliner, at The Basement East last year. Out in support of buzzy third EP Outta Their Minds, the foursome will return Sept. 15 to headline Eastside Bowl, with support from indie, poppy, riot grrrl-inspired duo (and one of our favorite up and coming Nashville acts) Venus & the Flytraps! You can still get tickets right here while they last, but we’re excited to announce that we’re also giving away a pair of tickets to one lucky fan- preview the lineup and enter below!
