Though actually born in Nashville and raised for a few years in Tennessee’s Smoky Mountains, eclectic alternative and pop singer Meg Myers spent her youth moving around, before eventually landing in Los Angeles to pursue music. Quickly resonating within the LA scene, Myers dropped her first EP a decade ago and swiftly landed a major label deal, soon attracting critical acclaim, festival appearances, and supporting slots with big acts like Pixies and Broods. Across a trio of LPs- 2015’s Sorry, 2018’s Take Me to the Disco, and recent release TZIA– Meg has honed a dark, biting, and earnest sound as indebted to ’90s grunge and alt rock as it is the brooding alt pop of Sinead O’Connor or art pop of Fiona Apple.
Out in support of her new album- the singer’s best and most adventurous to date- Myers will return to Nashville for the first time in several years to headline Eastside Bowl on May 9, along with LA alt rock trio Weathers and Music City’s own Band of Silver! Tickets are still available right here while they last, but we’re excited to announce that we’re also giving away a pair of tickets to one lucky fan! Preview the lineup and enter below.
