UK born, Seattle raised rocker Barns Courtney sprung onto the scene in the mid-2010s, swiftly drawing acclaim for his earnest, occasionally folky, and frenetic sound, which helped him amasses millions of streams, placements in films and video games, praise from a host of huge media outlets, and spots opening for huge acts like The Who and Ed Sheeran. His first two LPs, 2017’s The Attractions of Youth and 2019’s 404, were well-received, and flexed some fantastic musical growth, but with recent comeback single “Supernatural,” out ahead of his highly-anticipated third full-length and on the heels of arena shows with My Chemical Romance, Barns is showcasing his biggest artistic leap to date, changing both his sound (a bit more of a garage/alt-rock with tinges of punk and glam) and entire look (he’s rocking edgy silver locks, goth rock makeup, and glam rock threads).
Set to return to Nashville for the first time since before the pandemic, Barns Courtney will headline Eastside Bowl this Saturday, Oct. 1! His electrifying live show is one you definitely don’t want to miss, and you can still get tickets right here.
