Fresh off a much buzz-about guest spot at Coachella with Harry Styles and pulling double duty as host and musical guest at Saturday Night Live, and ahead of her highly-anticipated new album, Special, due out July 15, beloved, mutli-talented pop/hip hop/r&b singer and rapper Lizzo has announced a huge fall tour, which returns her to Music City for her biggest local headliner ever, Oct. 23 at Bridgestone Arena!
Originally slated to headline Bonnaroo in 2020 and 2021, we were bummed not to find Lizzo returning to the farm this summer, but an arena show will certainly do, after past performances at the likes of Cannery, The Ryman, Nashville Pride, and Municipal Auditorium (we even once saw her open for Haim at War Memroial). Real ones know Lizzo was already making waves years before her massive 2019 breakthrough, Cuz I Love You, but the past few years have seen the immensely talented artist ascend to well-deserved superstar status, thanks to hits like “Truth Hurts,” “Juice,” and Cardi B teamup “Rumors.”
For “The Special Tour,” which kicks off in September in Florida and concludes in November in Los Angeles, Lizzo has tapped buzzy Atlanta rapper Latto to open. Tickets to the Bridgestone stop, which has already shot to the top of our fall hype meter, go on sale Friday, April 29 at 10 a.m. CDT right here, with a variety of pre-sales set to run throughout the week. Check out the video for her latest single, “About Damn Time,” plus a full list of tour dates below!
