Celebrating its 10th season, Nashville’s free, all ages, biannual musical showcase series Musician’s Corner is set to continue its September Sundown series in Centennial Park this Thursday, Sept. 12, coordinating this week with the city-wide Americanafest for an impressive slate of performers, featuring South Carolina southern blues rockers The Marcus King Band, long-running folky New York roots rockers Donna the Buffalo, Connecticut based Americana singer-songwriter Stephen Kellogg, local folk pop and progressive bluegrass transplants Front Country, and southwest Virginia Americana singer-songwriter Dori Freeman.
Following the template introduced last fall, Thursday evenings throughout September will feature a curated local lineup each week from 5-9 p.m. The event is family friendly, all ages, and free, and features food trucks, beer, local vendors, Kidsville activities, and more! After a May and June season that boasted perhaps the most impressive lineup in the festival’s history, the September Sundown series continues with an excellent slate of 20 additional performers, including Daniella Mason, Pet Envy, Whoa Dakota, The New Respects, Creature Comfort, Dylan LeBlanc, and many more in the coming weeks.
Needless to say, Musicians Corner remains one of the most vibrant, fun, and frugal ways to experience some of the best artists Music City has to offer, and this September’s lineup definitely has our circling our calendars for the rest of the month.
