With the release of his third LP, Boarding House Reach, right around the corner (it drops March 23 via Third Man/Columbia), it seemed liked only a matter of when, not if, former White Stripes frontman (and sometimes Raconteur and Dead Weather member) Jack White would find a special way to celebrate here in his adopted hometown. Unsurprisingly, White did not disappoint, with a sudden announcement this morning that the esteemed rocker will play not one, but two surprise shows at his own Third Man Records‘ Blue Room, tomorrow, March 15 and Friday, March 16.
In typical Jack fashion, this surprise warning comes with very little lead time to try to snag tickets, as they’ll be available in-person at Third Man’s Nashville storefront beginning today, March 14 at noon. Additionally, members of Third Man’s Vault program will be able to try their luck at buying them online right here. Both methods of purchase are non-transferrable and limited to two tickets per customer, and the name of your +1 is required when checking out. The $111 price tag is definitely a doozy, but at least you can be assured that spots won’t end up in the hands of scalpers. Though White has played the Blue Room before, his appearances have been rare, and rarely so accessible to the public.
Good luck!
