Peter Bradley Adams-2018-620

Still enjoying praise for last year’s excellent sixth album A Face Like Mine, local Americana transplant and longtime fixture of the scene Peter Bradley Adams is gearing up to play his first Nashville show of the new year tonight, Feb. 17 at Exit/In. Making things even more exciting, fellow incredible singer-songwriter and local favorite Molly Parden rounds out the bill. What’s sure to be a night of excellent, emotional, and heartfelt folk and Americana, tickets are still available right here, grab yours now and read on for more about the show!

PETER BRADLEY ADAMS

Hailing originally from Birmingham, Alabama, Americana singer-songwriter Peter Bradley Adams‘ love of music was instilled at a young age, and led him to studying composition and spending time in Germany and Tennessee, before settling in Los Angeles, where he worked in scoring before co-founding the group eastmountainsouth in 2001. After nabbing a major label record deal, the folk/pop duo went on to find moderate success, landing high-profile placements, television appearances, and buzzy tours. By 2005, and following some label shakeups, Adams decided to pursue a solo career, which led him to Nashville, Brooklyn, and now Music City once more, and, in just over a decade, he’s produced six fantastic records, garnering critical acclaim and becoming well-regarded in the Americana scene, as well as a dependable fixture in lending his tunes to film and television. With an earnest, heartfelt, comforting, and story-driven style, Peter has spent years laying down a strong base for his pop-infused flavor of Americana, honing and perfecting it with each passing release. Last year’s A Face Like Mine is perhaps his best yet, finding a cohesion, honesty, and expansiveness beyond any of his work to date. Always an excellent bet, especially in Nashville, Adams’ homecoming is sure to be a memorable night.

MOLLY PARDEN

Another local favorite, singer-songwriter Molly Parden hails originally from Jonesboro, GA, but has long been an integral part of Nashville’s Americana and folk community. While you may recognize from her numerous and frequent guest and background vocal appearances with other buzzy artists (both live and recorded), Molly’s solo work is where she truly shines. Though the singer put out a record, Time Is Medicine, back in 2011, she was initially hesitant to perform her own music live after relocating to Nashville, opting instead to back other artists. However, after encouragement from fans and friends, Parden finally released a new EP, With Me in the Summer, in 2016, and has been ramping up her solo efforts ever since, showcasing a knack for layered, emotional, and gorgeously harmonic compositions, enchanced by phenomenal live shows. Molly has dropped a couple of new singles lately, so here’s hoping we have even more to look forward to this year!

Peter Bradley Adams and Molly Parden will perform tonight, Feb. 17 at Exit/In. The show is 18+, begins at 9 p.m. (doors at 8 p.m.), and tickets are available to purchase for $18.
