Breakout local country revivalist Margo Price wowed us last month with the release of an amazing, surprise new EP, Weakness, and celebrated a few weeks back with a surprise hometown show at American Legion Post 82. Price continues to promote her latest, a followup to last year’s incredible, critically beloved solo debut Midwest Farmer’s Daughter, this time with a brand new video for the EP’s title track. In it, a motorcycle riding Price rolls up to a liquor store, douses the lot in gasoline as her band looks on, chugs from a bottle, holds the place up, and then sets everything on fire, only to to be pursued in a high speed chase, escaping at the end to smile triumphantly about all the hell she raised. The fun loving, rebellious nature of the Curtis Wayne Millard directed spot not only fits the theme of the track, but also feels like a great snapshot of Margo’s nonconformist spirit and outlaw country influences, reminding us, yet again, that she’s one of the best things to happen to country music in years. Watch “Weakness” below, and be sure to listen to the EP of the same name, out now on Third Man Records, if you haven’t already!
