Regular readers my recognize the poppy, post-punk flavored sounds of singer-songwriter Jacob Disedare, who we introduced you to back in the fall when we premiered his new single, “Muse,” along with b-side “These Days I.” Ahead of his forthcoming solo album, which he’s preparing to release this summer through Cold Lunch Recordings, Disedare was gracious enough to also let us premiere his stylish, dark new video for “Muse.” With its grungy, almost folk-tinged undertones, the song is about “loving someone who too often has a little too much fun,” and the video strikes a perfect balance between creepy and weird, with a bit of a Halloween vibe in its imagery.
You can watch the new spot for “Muse” below, and you can catch Jacob live March 9 at The 5 Spot, while he’ll open for David Brown and Billy Bennett. You can also check out his prior work with Fur on Fur and Ghost Foot, while you wait for more music to drop.
