We told you about Carl Broemel‘s upcoming new solo LP, 4th of July, when he released his first single “Sleepy Lagoon” earlier this summer. Now he is back with another new single, “Snowflake,” that sees the My Morning Jacket guitarist veering into Andrew Bird territory with a beautiful track of shimmering guitar work, quiet vocals, and a whistling melody.
You can check out the single below, and make plans to catch Bromel’s album release celebration at Grimeys on Aug. 19 and the official release show at The Basement East on Aug. 20. Tickets for the latter are available for $15, and Sun Seeker are tapped to open up the evening.
