Michigan-bred Nashville transplant Jonathan Timm has been an intriguing figure in the local scene since he moved here in 2011. In his time here, he’s opened for Willie Nelson, recorded with Garth Brooks, played fiddle with several artists around town, and now, most excitingly, is releasing his debut full length Fever Dreams on June 25. In advance of the record release, we’re beyond excited to exclusively debut the video for the album’s single “These Hours.” As evidenced by the track, Timm can be counted amongst our favorite brand of Americana-esque singer-songwriters: those that are sad but loud. Fever Dreams boasts an alt-country/folky melodic sensibility and an artfully ambient, rock production sense accomplished in part by his 4-piece backing band and guest pedal steelist Carl Broemel of My Morning Jacket. At times serene and others grungy, sometimes lonesome and other times hopeful, the album covers an impressive amount of territory, especially for a debut record, and will surely be catching all kinds of attention.
Check out the brand new music video below, and pick up a copy of Fever Dream at the album release show June 25 at The Basement with Charlie Whitten and The Prescriptions. Show starts at 9pm, and tickets are $5 in advance.
Love these guys! Nice write up. Pretty sure the album is “Fever Dream” not “Fever Dreams.” Keep up the good work!
