Legendary punk singer, writer, actor, and activist (not to mention journalist, photographer, TV and radio host…) Henry Rollins is embarking on a spoken word tour this fall, which returns him to Nashville Oct. 14 for an outing at Marathon Music Works. Rollins’ last such tour in 2012 also brought him to Music City, albeit at the more intimate Belcourt theater. While hardcore Black Flag or Rollins Band fans might be confused to find that this performance involves no music, the smart and multi-faceted Rollins promises “On this tour, fans can expect Henry to mix timely commentary on the current state of politics with anecdotes on his latest L.A. experiences, to perspective gained from his extensive world travels.” As known for his insight and written and spoken as he is for music in recent years, this promises to be a unique and engaging experience for any true fans of Henry. Tickets are available here, and are all seated.
