LEARN
Music City residents, who originally hail from Cape Town, South Africa, Civil Twilight have been perfecting their melodic alt-rock since 2010, when they burst onto the scene with their self-titled debut. The popularity of that album, and their growing reputation for awesome live shows, earned them the chance to open for national acts like Evanescence and Florence + the Machine.
This summer, the sibling (Andrew and Steven McKeller) helmed four-piece dropped their latest offering, Story of an Immigrant, which manages to stay true to their rhythmic roots, while still exploring other new, heavily synthed-out avenues for their art. Their sound brings to mind a vast list of other, big name bands like Radiohead, U2, Muse and even newer Coldplay. We caught their Nashville performance a few months back, but we are definitely looking forward to seeing what they can do in a festival setting with a bunch of dancing fans bopping along to the beat. Always feels good to help support some locals when rocking at the Roo, so we hope to see some of you at their set.
