We’re back from holiday break, and already looking towards the promise of more great live music than ever in the new year! We hope your holidays were filled with lots of good food and company, and that you’re feeling recharged and ready to start mapping out your music plans. Starting the year off right is the fourth annual installment of DANAFEST next week, Jan. 16 at fooBAR. The event is FREE and starts at 8 p.m. We have covered DANAFEST in the past, and look forward to another year of the best rock and roll Nashville has to offer!
The poster for the show reads “A man went looking for a Party. And couldn’t find it anywhere. . . So he made his own.” Such words about local East Nashville staple Seth Dana provide a perfect preview to this stacked lineup. Every one of your favorite Nashville bands will be there. From the stoner-blues rock sounds of Natural Child to the rowdy punk stylings of Faux Ferocious, to the psychedelic folk songs of Promised Land Sound that earned them lots of well-deserved attention last year, this night is sure to be a blast. Ri¢hie, Dean Jackson, Hans Condor, Savoy Motel, Fly Golden Eagle, JP5, and Music Band round out the bill, so, if you made a New Year’s Resolution to see more local music, then this is a great place to start. To get you pumped, check out a video from earlier in 2015 of the headliners Natural Child.
