Throughout the year, we’ve told you lots about Vanessa Carlton‘s latest musical endeavors; first, a summer EP called Blue Pool, and then her new full-length Liberman, which dropped in October. A far-cry from her piano pop beginnings, Carlton’s recent efforts mark a shift towards sparse, orchestral production, darker tones, and a more conceptual and emotionally dense approach to lyricism, thoroughly more adventurous and contemporary indie pop. As announced awhile back, Vanessa, who, along with her husband John McCauley of Deer Tick, now calls Nashville home, is set to play 3rd & Lindsley TONIGHT, Dec. 17 in support of the new LP. Joshua Hyslop will open, and a few tickets are still available right here while they last. This one is being filmed, so you know it’ll be extra special; don’t miss it!
