Guitar nerds unite! Classic rock guitarist Robin Trower and his trusty Stratocaster are set to blow minds at Marathon Music Works on April 8. Known as one of the most influential British blues-rock guitarists in history, Trower earned the nickname “The White Hendrix” during his rise to fame in the 1970s. He first broke into the music scene with his band Procol Harum and their massive hit “A Whiter Shade Of Pale,” which you probably spent hours practicing on Guitar Hero a few years back.
After going solo, Trower cemented his place as one of the most innovative “classic rock” musicians around. Over the years, he and his Stratocaster released a plethora of music, including two albums with Roxy Music’s Bryan Ferry. If you’ve never heard Trower’s music, now is the perfect time to dive into his incredible back catalog. Don’t take too long, though. Tickets for his Nashville tour stop are on sale now for $25.00 – $45.00, so grab yours while you can!
