If you were alive in the year 2014, chances are high that you had Vance Joy‘s infectious single “Riptide” stuck in your head at least once. His rich vocals, backed by plucky ukulele created an irresistible debut track that made him one of the most talked about artists of the year. With the release of his first full-length album, Dream Your Life Away, this soulful Australian import proved he was far from a one-hit wonder.
If you missed his opening sets for Taylor Swift’s two-night stay at Bridgestone Arena last week, you’ll be happy to hear that you have another chance to see Vance Joy up close and personal. He’s just announced a stop at the Ryman Auditorium on March 18, with support from indie folk group Blind Pilot and British singer-songwriter Jamie Lawson. Tickets will cost $32 before additional fees, and go on sale Friday, Oct. 2 at 11 AM. There is also a pre-sale happening on Thursday Oct. 1 from 10am to 10pm, and the password is “VANCE.”
