Out in support of their epic new fifth album, Asunder, Sweet and Other Distress, Canadian post-rock/experimental outfit Godspeed You! Black Emperor have announced their first headlining Nashville show in three years, Sept. 19 at Marathon Music Works with Xylouris White (notably, Godspeed played Bridgestone Arena with Nine Inch Nails in 2013). A celebrated, genre-bending, boundary-pushing collective, Godspeed are a band you absolutely must see live to fully appreciate. Their droning, dense, instrumental tunes are enhanced in concert by immersive visuals, and every note and nuance is recreated by their huge lineup. Though they’ve toured at a steady clip since reuniting in 2010, the band’s Music City shows are still somewhat infrequent; we can’t encourage you enough to catch this one! Grab your tickets here.
