Though she’s appeared on occasion in compilation-style performances like the Grand Ole Opry in recent years, it’s been more than a decade, July 2002 to be exact, since country legend Dolly Parton last played a proper concert in Music City. That’ll all change next month, however, when Dolly returns to The Ryman for an acoustic benefit show dubbed “Dolly Parton: Pure & Simple,” set to take place July 31, organized by The Dustin Wells Foundation to benefit the W.O. Smith School of Music. Tickets for this legendary event are set to go on sale this Saturday, June 20 at 10 a.m. CDT, with a pre-sale beginning one day prior. Additionally, a limited number of $1000 VIP packages (remember, this goes to a good cause) are available here, and include a meet and greet, dinner, premium seating, and more. Country fan or not, you surely don’t want to miss this unforgettable night!
UPDATE 6/29/15: Due to unsurprising and overwhelming demand, Dolly has added a second show at The Ryman on Aug. 1. Tickets are set to go on sale this Thursday, July 2 at 10 a.m. CDT right here; pre-sale begins one day prior.
