LEARN
X Ambassadors are essentially the Eminen of alt pop with their impossible to ignore hooks that are laced with some angstful emotion. Brothers Sam and Casey Harris, along with lifelong friend Noah Feldshuh, grew up listening to punk, rock, soul, and hip hop, but it wasn’t until they were able to flesh their sound out with drummer Adam Levin, that X Ambassadors came to life. They self-released their first full length, Litost, in February of 2012, and their first single “Unconsolable” caught the attention of Imagine Dragons, who told Interscope Records to “sign this band immediately.” The band ultimately teamed up with KidinaKorner to produce their first label EP Love Songs Drug Songs in 2013, and followed it up with another EP, titled The Reason in 2014.
After tours with Imagine Dragons, Jimmy Eat World, and Panic At The Disco, these guys are poised to explode in 2015 with their upcoming debut label LP, and a summer full of touring and festivals in 2015. X Ambassadors will bring their alt pop to the newly rebranded Who Stage (formerly The Sonic Stage), and they are definitely worthy of a trip out of the fray to see what’s next in radio ready music. Have a listen to their insanely catchy Jamie N Commons collaboration “Jungle,” and then check out the heart-string-tugging video for “Unconsolable” below to get an idea of why these guys need to be on your Roodar.
